In time for spring, make a pledge to Feeding America’s Pound for Pound Challenge. Like my friend, inspiration and former Biggest Loser contestant, Patti Anderson, you can get healthy at the same time as you support a good cause.

For the third consecutive year, NBC’s The Biggest Loser, General Mills, Subway, and Feeding America are partnering on the Pound For Pound Challenge, a national initiative encouraging Americans to lose weight to combat hunger in their local communities. For every pound of weight participants pledge to lose, a pound of groceries will be secured on behalf of a local food bank.

It’s spring, so we naturally have the urge to be outside and soak up the sunshine we missed during this long cold winter. What better time to start getting more exercise. It is much easier than you think. Just do a little more of something you do every day- WALK. The Pound for Pound Challenge is a perfect way to get motivated and spice up your routine because you will be earning donations to feed the hungry while you and your family shed pounds and get healthier. Be ready for summer!
